About Us

Hello, I’m Kathryn the creator of Kids Party Store. And this is our little helper Iggy. I started this business for a few reasons. My partner and I recently got engaged and as I get closer to starting my own little family, I made a decision that I wanted to be more present in my families lives. So, I felt that now was the right time to start building towards something that gave me the flexibility to do that.

Why kids you might ask?

I have always loved kids! I spent many years working in childcare centers planning kid’s activities. But the problem was most of my pay checks were spent on sourcing kids play products. I always wanted to give them something to look forward to every day. Seeing them so happy made me feel happy ❤

After my days in childcare, I moved onto Playcentre’s and kids party planning. That was probably my favourite job! I loved creating party packages and hosting birthdays – knowing that they would probably remember this party forever.

Most recently I have been working in the weddings and events industry planning some of the most spectacular events! It’s funny because at the time I had absolutely no idea where I was headed but looking back now I can see the role that each of those jobs has played in setting up my own business. Even though starting my own business has been so scary, some part of me feels that I am exactly where I’m meant to be.

When I set this business up, I had a very clear vision of what I want. I want to share all that I have learnt over the last 10+ years to help mums plan gorgeous birthday parties and easy at home activities with their children! I think that creating these memories together is so important and if I can be a part of that in some way, that felt pretty special to me. I also want to share plenty of free tips, recipes and easy at home activities to help you create life long memories together. Hopefully one day I will be able to do these activities with my own kids, but until then, I will find happiness in seeing you and your little ones exploring these together 💕
